Why am I having problems adding/updating items in my shopping cart?

Most web browsers will have no problem shopping provided that the default security settings are used. If the settings have been altered, problems with session cookies and javascript can prevent the cart or the checkout working.

The fix is usually quick & easy.

Internet Explorer
- Go to: Tools > Internet Options
- Click on the "Security" tab then on the "Internet" logo
- Click the "Default Level" button
- Click on the "Privacy" tab then on "Default"

Firefox
- Go to: Tools > Options...
- Click on "Privacy" then make sure "Allow sites to set Cookies" is ticked
- Click on "Content" the make sure "Enable Javascript" is ticked

To resolve cookie problems in privacy or firewall software:
Launch your privacy or firewall software.
Navigate to the section with cookie controls.
Choose to accept cookies.

In addition to firewall/privacy software, shoppers can also be prevented from adding multiple items if the shopper has their Web browser set to not accept cookies. Here are some common instructions for enabling cookies.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x
Open Internet Explorer.

To enable:
Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
Click "OK".

Mozilla Firefox users:
Open Mozilla Firefox.
From the Tools menu, select "Options".
Click the Privacy icon.
Click the + sign to expand the Cookies section.
Select the "Allow sites to set cookies" option.
Click "OK".

For Netscape 4.X users:
Open Netscape.
From the Edit menu, select "Preferences".
Click the + sign to expand the "Advanced" option.
Select the "Accept All Cookies" option.
Click "OK" to close the window.
